SYNOPSIS<br /> <br /> In the city of Juarez, Ana Gonzalez works day in and day out picking up fragments of bullets, glass and samples of blood. The work is relentless and emotionally exhausting, compounded by cartel violence that comes from being a Mexican city so close to its neighbor, the United States.<br /> <br /> As Ana grapples with the sheer volume of homicides in one of the region’s deadliest cities, she and her team undergo a special departmental inspection. If they pass, Ana’s team will receive crucial support from the U.S. government to help them with their investigations.<br /> <br /> Blood On Our Side is an immersive film that follows Ana’s life and work. It puts into question who is truly responsible for the relentless killings. Ana reminds us of the common phrase in Mexico, “So far from God, so close to the United States.”
