The Des Sables Marathon or the Marathon of the Sands is one of the hardest stages of self-sufficiency tests on the planet. 250 km through the Moroccan Sahara desert in which the runners must carry everything they need in their backpack for the 5 stages of the route. In this 2013 edition more than 1000 athletes from all the continents of the world proved their physical and mental strength on the arid terrain. For most times do not matter, the mere fact of finishing is quite an achievement. Pain, joy, effort, concentration, are just some of the adjectives that could define the MDS.
