TELESUR – Refugees in Lesvos

Moria is the largest refugee camp in Europe. Located on the island of Lesbos, it officially has the capacity to house 3,500 people but there are 6,000 asylum seekers. The overcrowding is such that hundreds of people prefer to live on the outside of the field in tents covered with plastic.<br /> <br /> Over the past two years, the European Union and international agencies have announced that they allocate millions of euros in miles to Greek refugee camps. But given the conditions in which refugees live in them, it is difficult to understand where so much money goes.
